RES – An Overview:

RES comprises of two subsystems:

·                     RES/E for preparing the Exports document.

The message file generated by the RES can be submitted to the Customs House by uploading directly to the ICEGATE Web Site (http://icegate.gov.in ).

The message is transmitted to the designated Custom House by the ICEGATE. After validation, the document gets submitted and the Bill of Entry / Shipping Bill Number is sent to the user as an acknowledgement.  In case of error, negative acknowledgement is sent with error message.

RES provides the following facilities:

Document Preparation

The Option facilitates in entering Shipping Bill / Bill of Entry declarations. Unique Job Number is assigned for each declaration. The relevant particulars of Master, Invoice, Item details with classification etc. can be entered.  Online help facility has been provided on all-important directories such as CTH, CETH, DBK Schedule, DEPB Schedule, Exchange Rate, and Country Code etc., which can be used during the preparation of the documents.
